R U OK? Day
On September 11, Isaac Navicare co-hosted an R U OK? Day BBQ breakfast with ELAM and MDSS at the Moranbah Youth & Community Centre. Care Navigator Keeley helped to dish up over 150 free breakfast rolls, while The Chunky Bean kept everyone caffeinated. Some community members came along to learn more about Isaac Navicare’s Mental Health Care Navigation services, while others shared their personal stories and experiences of mental health challenges, and their journey to improved mental wellbeing.
Running since 2009, the annual event emphasises the importance of recognising the signs of poor mental health, and then having a conversation to check if someone is ok.
