Welcoming Sherrie Farnell to the team!
Sherrie is a Mental Health Care Navigator with a Diploma of Counselling and a career spanning childcare, disability support, crisis housing, and youth work. She believes that everyone deserves access to support and the opportunity to live life to the fullest, and is passionate about holding space for people so they can become the best versions of themselves. Inspired by leaders such as Brené Brown, Jim Rohn, and Bob Proctor, Sherrie continues to grow through professional development, mindfulness, and meaningful connections. Her strengths are rooted in empathy, resilience, and the support of family, friends, and community.
Having grown up with family in the farming and mining industries, Sherrie understands the unique complexities and impacts these environments have on mental health—individually, within families, and across communities. Since 2018, Sherrie has called Moranbah home and is dedicated to ensuring rural and remote communities have access to the services, support, and opportunities they need to strengthen their mental wellness and live life to the fullest.
Sherrie brings a wealth of knowledge to the Isaac Navicare team with a Diploma of Counselling and experience in childcare, disability support, crisis housing, and youth work.
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the Navicare team as a Mental Health Care Navigator. It’s deeply meaningful work to help people access the right services at the right time, supporting their wellbeing and empowering them to live life to the fullest. I’m passionate about making sure everyone receives care that’s tailored to their circumstances, and I love being part of a team where research truly matters. At Navicare, it’s people helping people—and I’m proud to be part of that mission.”
Sherrie will split her time between the Clermont hub at Lagoona on Thursdays, and at the Moranbah hub on other weekdays.
