Navicare participates in the Mackay Medicare Mental Health Centre Codesign Workshop

On 31 July, Care Navigator Liana represented Navicare at the Mackay Medicare Mental Health Centre Codesign Workshop, hosted by the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network. The full day workshop brought together more than 80 attendees from a wide range of organisations as well as community members, with the purpose of shaping a new model of mental health care for the Mackay region. Key themes included collaboration across sectors, strengthening community partnerships, and reimagining service delivery to better meet local needs. Liana’s participation ensured our service contributed to these important conversations and remained connected to regional planning efforts.

“Through the workshop, I gained valuable networking opportunities and a deeper understanding of the community's vision, which is helping Navicare strengthen its connections and better align with regional mental health priorities.”

Liana Irving, Mental Health Care Navigator
